Girls Rock Cincinnati is a 100% volunteer-run organization that relies on our staff to make camp happen! We value role model leadership and inter-generational community building. We are looking for women and gender-variant individuals to staff the positions below.

Summer camp is nothing without the counselors! Counselors are responsible for general supervision, but most importantly, contributing to a supportive and encouraging environment. Experience working with youth and diverse communities is preferred. Counselors must be available for the full week of camp.
The heart of rock camp is the rock, right? Instrument Instructors are responsible for leading technical education for our campers! Instrument lessons are offered every morning M-F of camp, and Instrument Instructors must be available for the full week during these times. We teach guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and keys. Music experience is required but skill level is flexible. If you have are questioning your skills or ability, contact us!
Campers will be sorted into bands and will learn how to write and play their own music for the Final Concert with your help! Each band will be assigned two Band Coaches, who must be available Monday-Saturday of camp (M-F afternoons, all day Saturday). Band Coaches need not have extensive music expertise but should be able to help encourage and guide our campers in their music making. If you are questioning your skills or ability, contact us!
Do you have an idea or skill you want to share with our campers? Let us know! Strong preference to workshops promoting community and inclusion. Some experience working with youth required. Workshop Instructors must be available from 12-3pm on the day of your workshop.
Volunteer any amount of your time to help us do some lifting and moving! We especially need help the day before camp (Aug 3) and the weekend of our performance (Aug 9-10).
Camp is a community effort, and we need helpers to make it happen. This position covers the gaps and tidbits - including everything from picking up lunches for the volunteers to supervising campers during breaks. Want to get involved but can’t commit the full week? Be a helper!
